Your complete guide from first serve to championship glory
Tennis Dash uses simple, intuitive controls that anyone can pick up in seconds. Here's how to control your racket on different devices:
The goal of Tennis Dash is simple: return every shot your opponent sends your way and score more points than them. Each successful return keeps the rally going; miss the ball and your opponent scores.
Win enough rallies to advance through increasingly difficult levels. The AI opponent gets faster, more accurate, and trickier as you progress. Your ultimate goal is to climb as high as possible on the leaderboard.
Serving: Each rally begins with a serve. The ball is launched toward your side of the court. Be ready to move your racket into position immediately.
Returning: Move your racket to intercept the ball. The contact point on the racket face determines the angle and speed of your return. Hitting the ball with the center gives the most controlled shot.
Scoring: When your opponent fails to return your shot, you score a point. Accumulate points to win the match and advance to the next level.
Difficulty Scaling: As you win matches, the AI opponent becomes faster and places shots in harder-to-reach areas. You'll need quicker reflexes and better positioning to keep winning.
Leaderboard: Your total score is tracked. Try to beat your personal best or aim for the top of the leaderboard with consecutive victories.
After each return, move your racket back to the center of your side. This gives you the best chance to reach any shot.
Keep your eyes on the ball, not your racket. Anticipate where the ball is going and move early.
Don't try to make aggressive shots at first. Focus on just returning the ball consistently. Speed comes with practice.
Each match teaches you something new. Don't get discouraged by losses — they're stepping stones to improvement.
Edge Hits: Hitting the ball with the edge of your racket creates sharper angles. Use this to send the ball to corners your opponent can't reach. Risky, but incredibly rewarding.
Speed Variation: Mix up your shot speed by varying how quickly you move the racket toward the ball. Fast racket movement creates power shots; slow, controlled movement creates soft drop shots.
Predict the AI: After several matches, you'll notice AI patterns. Some levels favor cross-court shots; others prefer down-the-line attacks. Recognizing these patterns lets you position early.
Recovery Position: The fastest way to improve is to always return to a neutral position after each shot. Advanced players pre-move toward where they expect the next ball to land.
